PCC POLICIES & STATEMENTS
SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and it is vital that our churches are safe places for all - especially vulnerable children and adults. St Saviour's PC works to the standards for recruitment and training set by the Diocese of St Albans and the National Church Safeguarding Team.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
The Parochial Church Council (the “PCC”) of St Saviour ( the ‘Data Controller’) is
very sensitive to the need to make sure that the ‘Personal Data’ it holds about
members of the Church, or which comes into its possession, is kept securely and
is ‘processed’ only for the purposes for which you provided it.
LGBTI+ INCLUSION
"We are a welcoming and inclusive Christian community built on the understanding that God accepts us equally, irrespective of gender, sexuality, race, social standing, belief, age or ability - and believing that God calls us equally to share that unconditional love with all people, without exception."
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Those responsible for administering a charity must act in the best interests of the charity. Amongst other things, that requires them to avoid anything that prevents decisions being taken by reference to other considerations. It also follows that charity trustees need to avoid putting themselves in a position in which their duty to act only in the best interests of the charity could conflict with any personal interest they may have.
